Light weight. Sturdy. Waterproof. Easy to focus and it holds firm. Lens caps spring-clip on and stay fast (unlike most other optics I have).Was able to clinch the ID of a sleeping duck 300 yards out on the Chesapeake Bay, when it briefly opened its eye and I was able to see, even at 300 yards, that its iris was red. (Redhead.) Afterwards, it later raised its head and, still at 300 yards, I was able to see very clearly the black-tipped blueish bill. On Cape Cod, again at a distance of several hundred yards, I clinched a sleeping all-dark duck as an Eurasian Wigeon. Even at several hundred yards, I could make out the cream-color on the head, and the rufous/brown on the face. I usually use the 25-60X zoom eyepiece, as I find it more useful than the fixed 30X.
